Most of my work uses museum records and Species Distribution Models to study how species distributions change over time as the result of human disturbance. A few examples projects I have done include looking at range shifts in spadefoot toads (with Karin Pfennig and Amber Rice), the impact of climate change on snakes in NC (with Jenny Archis), and the success and failure of dung beetles introductions in Australia (with Cas Levy). Although I am particularly interested in herps, I have worked on a wide variety of taxa. I am particularly interested in recruiting students with an interest in biogeography and GIS, so if you are looking for research experience and have similar interests, please get in touch!
